Coventry Sphinx gains the freehold to its Sphinx Drive home
The Trustees of Coventry Sphinx are delighted to announce that they have now successfully negotiated and signed the deed of transfer from a leasehold to freehold of our 15 acre site. This means that Coventry Sphinx, formed in 1946, now has a permanent home for many many years to come.
This unique opportunity is what dreams are made of. We came from an initial annual rolling lease agreement which didn’t allow us to invest going forward.
Thankfully we now find ourselves in a much stronger and secure position to now focus all our energies into growing the club to even greater heights.
It’s been a long three and a half years of blood, sweat and tears. The added impact of the Covid pandemic really tested our resolve but we knuckled down and got to where we needed to be. In the end it was all totally worthwhile.
The hard work starts now and we can’t wait to get started.
