Coventry Sphinx are crowned champions of the United Counties League Premier Division South

Coventry Sphinx will play Step 4 football next season after securing the Uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division South title with a 7-0 win against Eynesbury Rovers on the final day.

Captain Callum Woodward lifted the trophy at the Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena to cap a phenomenal season under joint managers John Woodward and Shaun Thomas, who will now oversee Sphinx’s first ever season in the fourth tier of non-league football.

Sphinx are expected to be promoted to the Midlands Division of the Northern Premier League, subject to Football Association confirmation.
