Fixtures update after Quorn abandonment

Coventry Sphinx’s Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division fixture at Quorn was abandoned on Saturday 21st September with the Methodists leading 4-1.

With significant lightning affecting the Leicestershire area in the middle of the second half at Farley Way, the referee made the decision to abandon the match, which will now be replayed in its entirety. The rearranged date will be announced in due course.

The weather also forced the abandonment of the Isuzu FA Trophy match between Anstey Nomads and Sutton Coldfield Town. As a result, Sphinx’s visit to Anstey Nomads on Tuesday 24th September 2024 has been postponed. Again, the rearranged date will be announced in due course.

Sphinx’s next fixture will now be at home against Corby Town on Saturday 28th September.
