Kyle Carey signs a Contract

Coventry Sphinx Football Club is thrilled to announce that Kyle Carey has agreed terms to become the second contracted player in our history.

Kyle represented Sphinx at youth level before becoming a force to be reckoned with in men’s football at Coventry United and earning a move to Mickleover Sports in 2018.

He rejoined Sphinx in 2023 to add to the attacking threat and creativity of our first team, becoming a United Counties League Premier Division South winner and helping the club reach its highest ever level.

The 2024/25 season has started with Kyle in fantastic form, including four goals in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

Carey follows in the footsteps of Matty Shipman, who signed a contract last season. The agreement is a show of commitment and faith from the club in a player whose quality at Step Four is proven. We look forward to seeing what he can do for the rest of the season.
