2024/25 National League System allocations

Coventry Sphinx club news

The FA has published the National League System club allocations for the 2024/25 season. After successfully avoiding relegation in our first season at Step Four, Coventry Sphinx will remain in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands.

2024/25 sees an expansion of the division from 20 teams to 22. Spalding United and Harborough Town were promoted, Gresley Rovers were relegated and Cambridge City have made a lateral move out of the division. Loughborough Dynamo’s withdrawal resulted in a reprieve for AFC Rushden & Diamonds, who will stay in the NPL Midlands.

We welcome seven new teams into the division for 2024/25. Darlaston Town, Loughborough Students, Racing Club Warwick, Wellingborough Town and Worcester City have all been promoted from Step Five. Long Eaton United join the NPL Midlands after they were relegated from Step Three. Grantham Town have made a sideways switch.

The other teams are: Anstey Nomads, Bedworth United, Boldmere St Michaels, Coleshill Town, Corby Town, Hinckley LR, Lye Town, Quorn, Rugby Town, Shepshed Dynamo, Sporting Khalsa, Sutton Coldfield Town and Walsall Wood.

While the final composition of the division is subject to change, Coventry Sphinx’s allocation is confirmed.
