Where Was Lady Luck....??

by Randy Forder

Coventry Sphinx 0 v 2 Dunkirk

Lets hope lady luck is just round the corner as Sphinx have been desperately unlucky in the past 4 league games. Saturdays game saw Dunkirk score the easiest goal they will score this season when Carl O'Neils clearance hit the back of Ben Atkins and loop over O'Neil for an easy tap in for the Dunkirk forward. Before this both teams cancelled each other out with only half chances and long range efforts on goal.

Second half was pretty much the same with Dunkirk getting a second with a well worked goal down the right. Sphinx battled hard but struggled to create any clearcut chances which they were doing 3 weeks ago. Its a hard lesson for a relatively young squad who will have to up they game over the festive period if they are to get any points in the bag.
