Child Protection Policy
Coventry Sphinx Football Club formally adopts
the Child Protection Procedures as approved by the Football
Association.
Coventry Sphinx Football Club is committed to
creating and preserving the safest possible environment for children
to play football.
Any act, statement, conduct or other matter
which harms a child or children, shall constitute behaviour which is
improper and brings the game into disrepute.
It is the duty of all Committee Members,
Managers, Coaches and any other individuals directly or indirectly
involved with Coventry Sphinx Football Club to be aware of and help
prevent the abuse that children can suffer whether neglect,
emotional, physical or sexual.
Coventry Sphinx Football Club accepts that
children's welfare is paramount and children, whatever their age,
culture, ability, gender or religion, have the right to protect from
abuse.
All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be
taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately. All
information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
An individual convicted or is made the subject
of a caution in respect of an offence, or an investigation by the
Police, Social Services or any other information which causes
Coventry Sphinx to believe that an individual poses or may pose a
risk of harm to a Child or Children.
Coventry Sphinx Football Club shall have the
authority to impose the suspension of any individual from all
specific involvement in football activities within the Club.
Coventry Sphinx Football Club shall notify The Football Association of any individual who is the subject of an investigation by the Police, Social Services or any other authority relating to an Offence.
