Our First Team play at Step 5 of the Non-League System and are members of the Midland Football Alliance following their promotion as Champions of the Midland Football Combination in May 2007.
Coventry Sphinx were the first Coventry team to win the Midland Football Combination and the first Coventry team to be members of the Midland Football Alliance.
Cup competitions entered are;

- The FA Carlsberg Vase
- BCFA Senior Challenge Cup
- Midland Alliance League Cup
In season 2007/08 our First Team reached the Quarter Finals of the FA Carlsberg Vase losing in a replay to eventual Wembley winners Kirkham & Wesham (Now AFC Fylde)
In 2009/10 under the guidance of Danny McSheffrey Coventry Sphinx won the Midland Alliance Polymac League Cup with a 3-1 defeat of Westfields at The Bescott Stadium the home of Walsall F.C.
