Lesson Learn't.....

by Randy Forder

Causeway United  2 v 0  Coventry Sphinx

Luke Hopkins will hope that lessons will be learnt from today's defeat at causeway. Sphinx again had a poor start conceding 2 early goals and could quite easily have been poor. Sphinx young charges were giving far to much room to there hosts were poor in the tackle and not contesting the 2nd ball.

The second half was a much better performance which Sphinx shaded. harry White had two good chances, Ricky Cutting shot just wide and Louis guest had a header that just went over. Causeway had chances which returning keeper Carl O'Neill was more than a match for. Causeway were awarded a penalty as Stuart How for Causeway giving Tom daley a run for his money in the diving stakes but Carl O'Neill dived to his left to pull off a very good save. If Sphinx cant start the 1st half as well as they started the second half then maybe the scoreline would have been different.
